Alnylam scores big pharma support for angiotensinogen silencer

Roche has paid US$310 million upfront, and committed up to $2.5 billion in milestones, to partner with Alnylam on the development and commercialization of zilebesiran, an angiotensinogen-targeted RNAi drug. Zilebesiran is in two ongoing phase II trials for hypertension that are due to read out in 2023 and 2024.
