David Wax Museum performs at Long's Park Summer Music Series [photos]

There was no admission fee to certain “Museum” on Sunday night.

By that we mean David Wax Museum, the roots-rock band with Mexican inspiration that performed Sunday at Long’s Park. The show was part of the Long’s Park Amphitheater Foundation’s popular Summer Music Series, which bring free concerts to the park weekly.

The band is anchored by husband-and-wife David Wax and Suz Slezak. The performance marked the band’s first performance as part of the Summer Music Series, but the musicians are no stranger to the area; they performed in Lancaster in 2017 as part of the Lancaster Roots & Blues music festival, and again in 2019 at Tellus360.

The series continues Aug. 6 with a performance by Jupiter & Okwess, Aug. 13 with Con Brio, Aug. 20 with Davie Alvin and Jimmy Dale Gilmore with the Guilty Ones and Aug. 27 with the Lost Bayou Ramblers. All concerts start at 7:30 p.m.
